Hi! I'm TheWilmster. I am a 14 y/o programmer and musician who also plays trumpet!
For programming, I usually use GameMaker Studio 2, but I am pretty decent with Unity, and also expiriment with HaxeFlixel.
I compose music in FL Studio 2024, in which most of my songs are made for videogames, either it be fan content or original ideas.
I found interest in programming in 2020 to 2021 when I started expirimenting with scratch, however I never got into a real programming language until
2023, where I discovered Pizza Tower. I eventually got interested in trying to mod it, in which I used a code editor for compile GameMaker games called
UTMT (UndertaleModTool, which is (obviously) more commonly used for Undertale.) I had followed basic modding tutorials on how to add small extra things,
and eventually grew from that, with help from the Pizza Tower Modding Database, the GameMaker server, and the GameMaker Manual/Documentation. It's a
miracle that I was able to learn from Pizza Tower's decompiled code, as it's not the absolute best. But if it works, then there's no need to fix it.
GameMaker was an incredibly easy to use tool that is quick to learn with it's simple interface. Despite its simplicity, it does not mean it's limited at
all. It is very capable, especially with the assistance of extensions.
For composing, I use FL Studio (and have been since 2021, however shortly before used BeepBox). I found interest in music making when I came across an
Indie game inspired by Newgrounds animations, called FNF. Although most songs I started making then were definitely... not the greatest. But I improved
significantly since then and have now moved on from FNF (for the most part).
My favorite games are:
Undertale (Released 2015, discovered 2019.)
Pizza Tower (Released 2023, discovered 2023.)
Super Mario 64 (Released 1996, discovered 2017.)
